East Park, located on Cherokee Trail at the end of Spindrift Court, is a scenic, tranquil camping and picnic area featuring a playground, walking trail, horse-shoe pits, basketball court, as well as a pavilion large enough for family reunions. The bathhouse, which is available for use by all campers, is open from Easter weekend through October 30th. For your convenience, the park is equipped with running water, restrooms, charcoal grills, and fire-rings / pits.
North Park is a small spot for quiet solitude, camping, fishing and just enjoying nature. A pavilion and a bathhouse are accessible. For your convenience, the park is equipped with charcoal grills and fire-rings / pits.
Fishtrap Park is so named because of the large “V” design made into the river by Native Americans for trapping fish. A swinging suspension bridge connects the park and playground to Riverside Pool: the larger of our outdoor pools. Additionally, Fishtrap Park is the largest camping and day-use area with children’s play areas, swings and a large pavilion for family reunions, birthdays, weddings, and other gatherings. For your convenience, the park is equipped with water, restrooms, charcoal grills, and fire-rings / pits.
Canoe Park (located on Newport Drive adjacent to Fife Bridge) is a favorite drop-off and pick-up site for canoeing, kayaking, and tubing. For more information about tubing, check out Coosawattee River Tubing Company. Picnic tables and a beautiful view of the river accompany this quiet place perfect for reading a book, writing a poem, or just looking around and feeling the beauty of the surroundings. For your convenience, the park is equipped with picnic tables, charcoal grills, and fire-rings / pits.
One of the most used and well liked amenities is our tranquil Fishing Pond on Beaver Lake Drive — just around the corner from the POA. Come to the pond and fish all day or just sit beside the pond and enjoy the scenery. A large flock of geese and ducks call the pond home. The pond is stocked with a variety of small game fish — ready for catch and release or to take home for a fish-fry. Fun for the whole family, the pond is open to our owners and their guests– no fishing license required. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day.
River Park is located at the intersection of Beaver Lake and Villa Drive and is the starting point for the tubing runs. For more information about tubing, check out Coosawattee River Tubing Company. For your convenience, the park is equipped with a pavilion and picnic tables, charcoal grills, and fire-rings / pits.
The Recreation Center is the jewel of the Coosawattee River Resort and includes:
The Riverside Pool features a large, beautiful outdoor pool. The pool is three to five feet deep throughout. The pool is family-friendly with kids from one to one hundred enjoying the sun and fun. A kiddie pool is also available for toddlers and babies. In the clubhouse, soda machines are stocked. The lower level of the clubhouse offers showers, dressing rooms and restrooms. Fish Trap Park is only a short walk across the Coosawattee River over the swinging suspension bridge.
Foxhound Pool is perhaps the most serene and relaxed of the Resort pools with a 10-foot deep end. Foxhound Pool also has a picnic area and a pavilion, as well as a changing area and restroom. This spot is a quiet and peaceful place to relax.
